You can apply for British Citizenship if you have Indefinite Leave to Remain or Settled status in the UK for a certain period of time.

 

The requirements for Naturalisation are the following:

- be over the age of 18

- have settled status or ILR in the UK

- you meet the continuous residence requirement

- you meet the B1 CEFR level English language requirements unless exempt

- pass the Life in the UK test unless exempt

- not breached any UK immigration laws

- meet the Good Character requirement

Who is eligible for British Citizenship?

In order to be eligible for British Citizenship by Naturalisation, you must meet the above mentioned requirements. You must have 3 years continuous residence in the UK and hold settled status or ILR for at least 12 months.
